She was predeceased by: her parents, Estella Root (Hall) and Fred P. Root; her great grandchild Jacob; and her siblings, Isabelle R. McAnlis, William D. Root, Ivan L. Root, Lawrence D. Root and Edgar M. Root.
She is survived by: her husband Lyle Harshman; her son Bruce Harshman (Sherri) of Cortland, Ohio; her granddaughter Angela Thatcher; her stepdaughter Beverly DeSavigny (James) of Leavittsburg, Ohio; and her stepgrandchildren, Lauri Baker (Clyde), Leslie Bennett (Mark), James Desavigny (Chris) and David De Savigny (Melissa). She is also survived by eight step great grandchildren and three step great great grandchildren.
