He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Braatz and Frances Braatz (Kuhlman); his son James; his parents-in-law, Albert and Edith Puccetti; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Braatz (Gonia), Margaret Puccetti (Kravetsky), Terrance Williams, John Langenderfer and Gary Warnke.

He is survived by: his wife Joann (Puccetti); his son Scott (Lynn Langlois); his granddaughter Victoria; his siblings, Don and Marilynn Williams; and his siblings-in-law, Albert Puccetti and Theresa Langenderfer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (4100 Harvest Ln, Toledo, OH 43623).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the King Church, St. Francis de Sales High School, St. Ursula Academy, or Hospice of NW Ohio.
