He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Patterson and Ruby Patterson (Gallion); his wife Janie Chapman; his son Jody; his brother Andy; and his nephew Johnny Simpson.
He is survived by: his children, Mindy Miller (David) and Dustin Patterson (Jess); his grandchildren, Cody, Jess, Derrick, Kaitlyn, Destiny and Logan; his sisters, Cathy Simpson (John) and Sandy Weiland; and his close friend Bob Gallion.
