She was predeceased by: her parents, William Oates and Ermil Oates (Jones); her stepson Bill Shepherd; and her siblings, Madeline Mabrey, Harold Oates, Arhl Oates and Guy Oates.
She is survived by: her stepson Bob Shepherd (Nonja); her stepdaughter-in-law Dixie Shepherd; and her nieces and nephews, Marsha Gardner, Deb Hord, Arhl Oates Jr., John Oates, Gary Oates, Tom Oates and Bill Mabrey. She is also survived by 6 step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church in Kenton.
