She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Strawser and Janie Strawser (Kline); her spouse Carey Hastings Jr.; her son David Hastings; and her siblings, Charles, Merle, James Strawser and Beverly Bice.
She is survived by: her sons, Tom Hastings of Kenton, Gary Hastings (Joni) of West Liberty and Tim Hastings (Kim) of Kenton; her grandchildren, Tommy, Megan and Landon Hastings; her brother Lynn Strawser of Kenton; and her pet Marigold. She is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations in Shirley's honor may be made to the Hardin County Garden Club or Universal Hospice.
