He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Scott and Della Scott (Huff); and his siblings, Robert Scott, Henry "Hank" Scott, Hannah Shafer, Audrey Newman and May Daum.
He is survived by: his close friends, Teia and Scott Dodge of Forest. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Richard's honor may be made to the Amvets Riders.
