He was predeceased by: his parents, Flossie Samons (Wrenchy) and Lacy Samons Sr.; his son Thomas D. James; and his siblings, Emma Lou McKean, Norma Jean Jame, Pearlean Wallace, Charlotte Treen, Wonda Kendrick and Lacy Samons Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Lorie Gambino of Arizona, Holly Gillenwater (Chris Meek) of Gallipolis, Tish Lawrence (Matt Middleton) of Harrod, Jennifer Wright (Shannon) of Springfield, Kelly Samons (Christopher Baker) of London, Scott Samons of Colorado, James E. Samons Jr. (Patricia) of Arizona, Robert James of Indiana and Gary V. Samons of Kenton; and his pet Jackson. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Price McElroy Funeral Home (123 N Main St, Kenton, OH 43326). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Jimmy's honor may be made to the American Heart Association.
