He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dacken and Wilma L. Dacken (Hamilton). He is survived by: his wife Carol Gulliford; and his children, Ron Dacken (Debbie), Mark Dacken (Tammy), Lorraine Cottrell (Bill), Patty Putrino (Carl) and Teresa Leatherow (Tyler). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
