We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2022, at the age of 89, Gilbert Richard Kern Jr. (Kenton, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gilbert Richard, Sr. and Gertrude Kern (Dykstra); his wife Sharon Jo Hershey (Sheldon); his brothers, Terence Kern, Mathiyas Kern (Janet Jones-Kern) of Farmington Hills, MI and Omar Kern of Westland, MI; his children, Christopher Garrett-Kern (TeCoa), Kathleen Kern (Michael Argaman) of Rochester, NY, Dr. Kevin Kern (Kristie) of Akron, OH and Carolyn Schlicher (Darryl) of Elizabethtown, PA; and his stepchildren, Greg Hershey of Las Vegas, NV and Lisa Taylor of Royal Oak, MI. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
