He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd L. Smith and Annabelle Smith (Hites); his siblings, William, John, Wilbur, Charles Smith, Betty Smith, Mary Horner and Helen Steed; and his nephew Richard Osborn Sr. Mr.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lee St. Clair; his children, Karin S. Combs (Rodney) of Morganton, NC, Kevin L. Smith (Sarah) of Valley Center, CA, Keith R. Smith of Hendersonville, NC and Kimberly K. Smith of Knoxville, TN.; his brother Gail W. "Steve" Smith (Frances) of Highland Home, AL; his grandchildren, Jesse Ray Smith (Emily) and Robert Cody Titus (Alexa); and his great grandchildren, Kenton Jack Smith and Amelia Ray Titus.
