He was predeceased by: his parents, Toby Dennis Scott and Pearlean Samons Wallace; his stepdaughter Melissa Kreigle; his brother Bill Scott; his sister-in-law Cora Scott; his sister Fawn Prater; and his stepfather Harry Wallace Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Rita Kay Dyer; his children, Brooke Joelynn Scott of Columbus, Amanda Rae Scott of Kenton, Molli Hatcher of Harrod, Matthew T. Scott of Tennessee and James of Kenton; his siblings, Marie Nichols of Kenton, Faith Ann Crockett (Dean) of Dunkirk, Mary Lightner (Brad) of Kenton, Reverend Joe Scott (Sherry) of Michigan, David Scott (Lori) of Bellecenter, Harry Wallace Jr. of Kenton and Rocky Prater; his grandchildren, Colby Dyer Woodward, Chance Dyer, Riley Reed, Haven Dyer, Garrett Dyer, Elizabeth Harris, Toby Harris, Harley Harris, Eli Patrick, Madison Hatcher, Mallori Hatcher, Kendral Hatcher, Katie Kreigle and Reese Kreigle; his uncle James Samons (Louise); and his close friends, Larry and Cheryl Baughman. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
