He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Elbert Sturgeon and Katharine Sturgeon (Crabill); his siblings, Roberta Orick, Francis Meyer (William), Marjorie Vondran (Harry) and John Sturgeon (Marilyn); and his siblings-in-law, Frank, Margaret McKinley (Dysert), Richard McKinley and Russell McKinley.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Sturgeon (McKinley); his children, Michael Sturgeon (Robyn) of Kenton, OH and Andrea Keller (David) of Vienna, VA; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Samantha Sturgeon, Katharine and Christopher Keller; his siblings-in-law, Dale McKinley (Pat), David McKinley (Jerelyn) of Dola, Jean McKinley and Sandy McKinley; and his pet Max. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
David always believed in paying it forward, so in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the David P. Sturgeon scholarship fund, via Excellence for Education, Kenton City Schools, 222 W. Carrol St. Kenton, OH 43326.
