He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Allen Routt and Pauline Helen Routt (VanBuskirk). He is survived by: his brother John Ellis Routt (Cathy) of Kenton. He is also survived by numerous cousins and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Amvets Post 1994 in Kenton.
