With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Lee Hughes of Kenton, Ohio, born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, who passed away on January 6, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Lloyd Hughes; his sons-in-law, Kevin Harris and Mark Anderson; and his brothers, Dick, Rodney and Ralph Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Smith (Pope); his children, Christy Ott (Tim) of Ottawa Lake, Laurie Harris of Vieques, Puerto Rico and Dan Hughes (Stacy) of Massachusetts; and his stepchildren, Christine Anderson of Dublin, Cynthia Peterscheim (Daniel) of McComb and Laurie Smith of Kenton. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in Daniel's honor may be made to the First Baptist Church of Kenton.
