She was predeceased by: her parents, Rollan Detwiler and Bessie Detwiler (Parthmore); her husband Donald E. Bates; and her children, Ronald Bates, Robert Bates, David Bates and Renee Bates.
She is survived by: her children, Junior Miller II (Darcie) of Bellefontaine, James Curl of Lakeview, Johnny Bates of McGuffey, Jack Curl, Jr. of Bucyrus, Charles Morris of Kenton and Anita Morris of Kenton; and her brother Bill Detwiler. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
