Carolyn J. Bish Obituary
Carolyn J. Bish passed away on January 4, 2022 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born October 2, 1929, to the late John and Eva (Jacobs) Richards.
She graduated from Vanlue School in 1947 and married Charles Bish on July 30, 1947. They enjoyed 43 years of traveling, fishing, open wheel racing, and muzzleloading before his death in 1990. She then enjoyed many happy years with longtime companion, Jack Benroth, before his death in 2016.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie (Denny) Bowman; two step-granddaughters: Brandy Bowman and Ashley (Travis) Weber; and three step-great-grandchildren: Lane, Peyton, and Haylie Weber. She is also survived by a brother, Harry (Mildred) Richards of Lansing MI; and many nieces and nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth (Mabel) Richards.
She was currently employed by Dietsch Brothers, where she loved packing boxes full of chocolates with her family and friends. She also spent many lunch hours at Pilgrim Family Restaurant. Carolyn was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, and a past member of United Presbyterian Church, where she played the piano and organ. Carolyn will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial contributions may be made in Carolyn's name to Faith Presbyterian Church and/or the Findlay Hancock County Library. Services will be private, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coldren-Crates Funeral Home.
