She was predeceased by: her parent Fay Smith; her spouse Merle L. Metzger; and her siblings, Mary Jo Stewart, Pat Ehora and Richard "Dick" Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Byers (Greg), Kenton, Ron Metzger (Deb), Forest and Cindy Messenger (Casey); her grandchildren, Dustin Stewart, Brandy Bowman, Ashley Weber (Travis), Candace Weaver (Kelby), Chance Metzger and Erica Metzger; her stepgrandson Cody Messenger (Danielle); her great grandchildren, Aidan, Ryleigh, Hanna Stewart, Lane, Peyton, Haylie Weber, Azryelle Carington, Kendran, Kamrie, Kace Weaver, Kayden and Violet Messenger; and her sister Carolyn Smith.
