He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Clarence Sears and Louise Sears; and his sister Mary Grace Sears. He is survived by: his wife Mary K. Sears; his sons, Douglas Sears (Marian) of Mullica Hill, NJ, Richard Sears (Peggy) of Columbus, OH and David Sears (Thea) of Kent; his grandchildren, Will Sears of Columbus, OH, Laura Sears of Columbus, OH, Jason Sears of Kent and Abigail Sears of Kent; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Haley and Rose Ada Milanovich.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the United Methodist Church of Kent (1435 E Main St, Kent, OH 44240). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans or United Methodist Church of Kent.
