He is survived by: his son Douglas of Chardon; his grandson Ian Hardesty (Samantha) of Chardon; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Hardesty (Baugh) of Beulah and Bob Sanda of Solon. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
