It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet M Minnieweather in Kent, Ohio, born in Westlake, Ohio, who passed away on April 2, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter P. Loewe and Elizabeth Loewe; her parents-in-law, Willie Snow Minnieweather and James Minnieweather; her siblings-in-law, Maxine Johnson, Griffin Johnson, Robert C. Minnieweather, William B. Minnieweather and O. J. Hollohan; and her nephews, Griffin Johnson Jr., Rodney Johnson and Eric Hollohan.
She is survived by: her husband James "Doug" Minnieweather; her children, Rachael Minnieweather and James "Dougie" Minnieweather Jr. (Toni); her grandchildren, Kristopher Minnieweather, Whitney Coles and Erika Minnieweather; her great grandchild Julionna Minnieweather; her siblings, Laurinda Hollohan, Walter Paul Loewe (Naomi), Gary Loewe (Pam), Bobby Loewe (Maureen) and Don Loewe (Patty); her sisters-in-law, Sharon Minnieweather and Joya Simpson; her nieces and nephews, Robin "Sherry" Dickson of Women's Basketball, Freda Johnson-Fox (David), Fern Johnson, Jacklyn Ireland, Crystal Simpson, Brittani Minnieweather McElveen (Derek), Shauna Walker (Damon), Dwayne Johnson and Brian Hollohan (Stephanie); and her daughters, Angelia "Monet" Bell, Tara Burgin, Janielle Cox, Cristina Galilei, Domonique Hubbard, Tanisha Lewis, Jocqueela "Kiki" Sherman (Deon), Dawn Shanklin, Kelli Shanklin, Tiffany Steppenbacker, Jacquees Steward and Erica Thompson. She is also survived by great nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
