He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Kilchenman and Freda Kilchenman (Lahmers); his wife Rita (McManaway); his son David; his brothers, Ralph and Dale; and his friend Shirley Dubetz.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Fieldman (Robert) of Centreville and Jodi Johnson (Thomas) of Hudson, Ohio; and his daughter-in-law Jill Kilchenman of Sleepy Hollow, Illinois. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
He was recognized by the Ohio Board of Education in 1966 as a champion for teachers and students and was the recipient of multiple awards including the Jennings Foundation.
