He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Kurtz and Sarah Kurtz; his wife Peggy Kurtz; and his siblings, Robert Kurtz and Marilyn Falkenberg.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Kurtz (Angela Williams) of Kent, Jodi Stainbrook (Dino Maffei) of Ravenna and Jason Kurtz (Jen Urban) of Kent; his grandchildren, Aaron, Austin Stainbrook, Aubrey, Jeffrey Jr., Sarah Welker, Ethan Kurtz, Kingston Kurtz, Jacob Thompson, Jackson Kurtz, Deacon Kurtz and Benjamin Kurtz; and his brother James Kurtz (Carol).
Memorial donations may be made, in David's name, to United Methodist Church of Kent.
