He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Helmling and Thelma Helmling; his sons, Dwight, Darin and Dave Jr.; and his siblings, Rich, Robert Helmling and Betty Marshall.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Helmling (Paradis); his children, Dennis Helmling (Tony) of Florida, Dirk Helmling (Julie) of North Carolina and Denise Casamento of Rootstown; his siblings, Shirley Rinehart, Kathy Kirby and Butch Helmling (Shirley); and his daughter Mary Lou Helmling (Bentley). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
