He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Brown and Myrley Brown (Dunlap); and his sons, Mark A. Brown, William D. Brown and Robert C. Brown.

He is survived by: his sons, Donald G. Brown (Carolyn) and Matthew D. Brown; his sister Alice Painter; and his daughters-in-law, Linda Hull and Vicki Brown. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren and all of his great-grandchildren.
