He was predeceased by: his wife Lucy Miller; and his siblings, Jessie, Cecil, Sadie, Stella, Marie and Delora.

He is survived by: his children, W. Douglas Miller (Carletta), Norman Miller (Becky) and Robin Penrod (Richard); his grandchildren, Nichole Miller, Matthew Miller, Zachary Miller (Catarina) and Jacob Penrod (Cassandra); his great grandchildren, Andrea Watts and Sophie Miller; and his brother Carl. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
