Hays of Kansas, Ohio, born in Burgoon, Ohio, who passed away on October 15, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Sommers and Phyliss Sommers (Jacobs); her daughter Rebecca Carlson; her siblings, George Sommers, Gail Payne and Jeanie Weber; her grandson Daniel Preble; her parents-in-law, Edna and Myron Hays; and her siblings-in-law, Roger Hays, Thomas Hays, Gilbert Bintz, Janice Hays and Patricia Bintz.
She is survived by: her husband Leo Hays of Kansas; her children, Margie Hays of Bucyrus, Leo Hays Jr. of Bettsville and Tineke Heilman (Dave) of Kansas; her brother Arthur Sommers (Janet) of Williamsburg, VA; her grandchildren, Tyler Maenle, Jordan DePew (Arianna), Jake Heilman, Molly Heilman, Carrie Brizzi (Paul), Tessa Anderson (Scotty), Dean Ball (Alycia), James Carlson, Timothy Carlson (Renee) and Candilyn Young (Jon); and her siblings-in-law, John Weber of Indianapolis, IN, Paul Hays (Sandra) of Fostoria, Dorie Hays of Fostoria and Marsha Hays of Girard. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Fremont Church of the Nazarene (1925 N 5th St, Fremont, OH 43420).
In Lieu of flowers the family memorials may be made to the Fremont Church of the Nazarene or the Alzheimer's Association in Bobbi's name.
