He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyel Michaels and Garnet Malone Michaels (Lilley); and his siblings, Emmet, Richard Michaels and Lola Gangwer.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Michaels (Fish) of Kansas; his children, Donald A. Michaels (Angela) of Burgoon and Valerie K. Meinke (Andy) of Curtice; his sister Nancy Manner of Fremont; his grandchildren, Taylor, Levi Gerner, Joshua, Caleb Meinke and Natalie Michaels; and his great grandchildren, Alliyah, Kaisser and Paislee Gerner.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or to Kansas Fire Department.
