He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Brinkman and Mary Elizabeth "Mame" Brinkman (Rose); his wife Alice Pohl; his son Anthony "Tony" Brinkman (Sandy) of Ottawa; and his siblings, Cornelius Brinkman, Alvira Dangler, Paul Brinkman, Lucy Bellman, Philomina Lentz, Robert Brinkman and Betty Kohlhorst.
He is survived by: his children, Gus Brinkman (Judy) of Kalida, Fred Brinkman (late Sylvia) of Lima, Sam Brinkman (Lora) of Abilene, TX., Greg Brinkman (Kathy) of Wheatfield, IN., Lauretta Miller (Lester) of Auburn, IN., Mike Brinkman (Cindy) of Arlington, Mary Brinkman (Tim Brown) of Pflugerville, TX., Rose Long (Ed) of Radnor, Len Brinkman (Cathy) of Wimberley, TX., Charlie Brinkman (Sue) of Elida, Joe Brinkman (Kristi) of Findlay and Ron Brinkman (Marianne) of Ottawa; his brothers, Jim Brinkman of Napoleon and John Brinkman of Kalida; and his sister-in-law Katie Hermiller of Kalida. He is also survived by 49 grandchildren; 107 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
