With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susan Irene Maag of Kalida, Ohio, born in Lima, Ohio, who passed away on February 24, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Smith and Dorothy Smith (Holtkamp); her siblings-in-law, Margaret Stefanek, Don Schlagbaum and Calvin Schneider; and her parents-in-law, Adolph and Irene Maag.
She is survived by: her children, Anne Torres (Jair) of Lima and Nicholas Maag (Amanda Schimmoeller) of Findlay; her grandchildren, Isabella, Gabriel, Clara, Xavier and Dominic; her stepgrandchildren, Henry and Mary; her siblings, Cris Schneider of Wapakoneta, Mike Smith (Jenny) of Fort Jennings, Kevin Smith (Sharon) of Perrysburg, Jim Smith (Lynn) of Fort Jennings and Julia Wiley (John) of Monclova; and her in-laws, Dee Dee Schlagbaum of Ottoville, Linda Chartrand (Mike) of Lima and Ted Maag (Mary) of Danville, CA. She is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews.
