He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Kahle and Armella Kahle (Pohlman); and his brother-in-law Paul Keiffer. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Miller; his children, Debra Schroeder (Eric) of Kalida, Mark Kahle (Sara) of Convoy and Philip Kahle of Middle Point; his granddaughters, Kendra, Sierra Schroeder, Adelin Kahle, Gwyneth, Violet and Lilyth Kahle; and his siblings, Linda Schulte (Paul) of Glandorf, Rachel Keiffer of Westminster, Roger Kahle (Ruth) of Kalida, Dennis Kahle (Brenda) of New Haven, IN. and Tire.
