He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. Langhals and Emma Langhals (Schroeder); his daughter Mary Jo Langhals; and his brother Richard Langhals. He is survived by: his wife Marie Osterhage; his children, Ann Schroeder (Duane) of Kalida, Sharon Askins (Randy) of Kalida, Joni Miller (Ray) of Kalida, Gary Langhals (Marie) of Kalida, Scott Langhals (Rosie) of Kalida, Gina Fischbach (John) of Shawnee and Amy Miller (Greg) of Lewis Center; his grandchildren, BJ Shartzer, Kelly Jordan, Emily Miller, Ross Askins, Megan Good, Ashley Miller, Adam Langhals, Abby Langhals, Samantha Langhals, Madison Langhals, Molly Fischbach, Kelsey Fischbach, Jack Fischbach, Colin Miller and Sophia Miller; and his sister-in-law Lou Ann Langhals of Kalida. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Home Care and Hospice or Kalida Baseball Association Holy Name Ballpark.
