He is survived by: his wife Ruth Recker; his children, Cindy Erhart (Dave) of Kalida, Steve Smith (Mary) of Kalida, Deb Ellerbrock (Greg) of Ottawa, Rhonda Siefker (Gary) of Kalida and Jill Kuhlman (Craig) of Kalida; his grandchildren, Amanda Recker (Craig), Kevin Erhart (Alexandria), Tyler Erhart (Shelby), Ryan Smith (Brittany), Shawn Smith (Katie), Amy Schimmoeller (Luke), Erica Karhoff (Luke), Lee Ellerbrock (Nicole), Kara Siefker, Adam Siefker, Allie Kuhlman, Grady Kuhlman, Mitchell Kuhlman and Kate Kuhlman; his great grandchildren, John, Will, Claire, Greta, Charlotte Recker, Leo Erhart, Caroline, Evelyn, Olivia and Scarlett Smith; his siblings, Mary Ann Schroeder of Columbus Grove, Alice Flaherty (Jim) of Hummelstown, PA., Helen Unverferth of Kalida, Kenny Smith and Diane Smith; and his brothers-in-law, John Schroeder and Bob Unverferth.
