He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Deters and Helen Deters (Lammers); his wife Doris E. Nartker; and his siblings, Glenn Deters and Sue Klima.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Bruskotter (David) of Findlay, Keith Deters (Donna) of Port Clinton, Judy Eickholt (Terry) of Ottoville, Jeff Deters of Kalida and Jill Laudick (Jon) of Kalida; his grandchildren, Matt Bruskotter, Michael Bruskotter (Nicole), Jason Deters (Tara), Justin Deters (Liza), Andrew Eickholt, Melissa Roehm (Cameron), Jordan Laudick (Kristen) and Brady Laudick (Rachel Warnecke); his sister Mary Ellen Schmenk of Ottawa; and his siblings-in-law, Patty Deters of Glandorf and Tom Klima of Ottoville. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida or Putnam County CAP.
