He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Horstman and Clara Horstman (Wehri); his sister Mary Horstman; his brother-in-law Ken Heckman; and his nephew Brandon Horstman.
He is survived by: his children, Meredyth of Kalida, Cooper of Kalida and Spencer Horstman of Kalida; and his siblings, Kenny Horstman (Diana) of Ottawa, Christina Heckman of Glandorf, Julie Schroeder (Don) of Glandorf, Harold Horstman (Barb) of Kalida, Bill Horstman (Patti) of Kalida, Kathy Moening (Gary) of Glandorf, Dave Horstman (Julie) of Kalida, Melvin Horstman (Lois) of Kalida, Teresa Knueve (Greg) of Kalida and Barb Neidert (Dave) of Kalida. He is also survived by 29 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing are required upon entering the church.
In lieu of flowers, that family ask that you honor Alvin's memory by always wearing your mask to protect yourself and others during this COVID-19 pandemic. Memorial contributions may be made toward the Horstman children's education at the Union Bank Company, C/O Alvin's Kids Memorial Fund.
