He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mills and Forest Shaeffer Mills; his sisters, Darlene, Donna and Carolyn; and his stepchildren, Lynda Thompson and Tom Gibbon, III.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Mills (Stiles); his son John Mills (Heather); his stepchildren, Bev Lucas (Tom), Char Baker (Rich), Joy Stephens (Ron) and Jerry Gibbon (Marci); his sisters, Florence Thomas (Paul), Frances Gelzhiser and Mona Morgan; his stepson-in-law Willis Thompson; his brother-in-law John Danielson; and also LeeAnne Gibbon. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
