He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Elias and Margaret Elias; his son John D. Elias Jr.; and his siblings, Jim, Frank Elias, Margaret Epling and Mary Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Sue Elias of Junction City, Ohio; his children, Frank Elias (Wendy) of Junction City and Cher Sheline (Richie) of Logan Ohio; and his sisters, Emma Walraven of Ray, Betty Freeman of Dayton and Shirley Whitmoore of Columbus, Ohio.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home (304 Mill St, New Lexington, OH 43764). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at the New Lebanon Cemetery (P. O. Box 91, 582 Logan St N, Junction City, OH 43748).
