He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Stadden Conard and Weltha Mae Conard (Downing); and his sister Barbara Grandstaff (Conard). He is survived by: his wife Brenda Conard (Drury); his daughter Katie Hux (Kurt); his grandsons, Harrison Franklin and William Hayes Hux of Mount Vernon; his siblings, Betty Hatfield (Lynn), Tom Conard (Sue) and Larry Conard (Barbara); and his close friend Sam. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
