Paul Peterman Obituary
Paul Bernard Peterman, 87 of Johnstown, passed away peacefully May 25, 2022.
He was born on February 22, 1935, in the Peterman family home Johnstown, Ohio. He was actually a twin (his mother miscarried a few months before) so apparently the world wasn't ready for two Paul Petermans's!
He married Shirley Ann Temple in 1955 and together they raised a fine family of four children: Terry (Phyllis), "Punk"/Sherry, "Stub"/Tammy and Kim (David) Hoops. He was very proud of his grandchildren too. Caleb (Sara) Peterman, Taren (Kelly) Hoops, Paulie (Chris) Starr, Jess (Miranda) Walton, Matt (Dylan) Peterman and his four great granddaughters Ava and Ella Peterman, Nella and Ivy Starr.
Paul was a telephone repairman for over forty-four years. He loved pole climbing and was the best at that. No pole was too tall for him! He never knew a stranger, was known by so many people and made everyone laugh. He loved cutting firewood and put out a huge garden for many years.
He is survived by his wife and kids, brother Wayne (Julia) Peterman, his baby sister "Pooze" Carol Ann (Cliff) Bigler, and many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Ethel (Mentzer) Peterman, brothers Russell (the Old Boar), Claude (Coddy), Lyle (the other one with big muscles), Frannie (Paul's partner in crime), Ed, sisters Virginia (Ginny) and Leah (Weazy… she'd have killed for her favorite brother Paul!!) A graveside service for Paul will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Trenton Cemetery beginning at 11:00am with his grandson Caleb Peterman officiating the committal service.
In lieu of flowers the Peterman family ask that memorial contributions in Paul's name be made to Fairhope Hospice (282 Sells Rd, Lancaster, OH 43130).
The DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Peterman family.
