He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sr. Rager and Joan Rager (Geracia). He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his sons, Richard Sterling and William Sterling; his grandchildren, Zachary Sterling (Samantha Hoffman), Jada Sterling and Gavin Sterling; and his siblings, James Hannah, Paula Kirkpatrick, Bobby Rager, Tammy Robinson, Lillie Lloyd and Albert Rager.
