He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gargas and Virginia Gargas; his wife Nettie Poling; and his sister Mary Jane Kalucki. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Christiansen (John), Shelly Gargas, Rich Gargas Jr. (Lisa), Rob Gargas (Michelle) and Rhonda Jackman (Bob); his grandchildren, Brenna Reithmiller (Scott), Lorissa, Shanna Christiansen, Chad (Lyndsy), Ryan (Samantha), Matt, Tyler Gargas, Jennifer and Julia Jackman; his brothers, Ron Gargas (Becky Muehleman) and Tom Gargas (Amy); and his pet Jypsy.
