He is survived by: his wife Diana (Haines); his children, Amie Crank (Michael) and Brandon Sams (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Dylan Sams, Ava Crank, Waylon Summers and Kent Sams; and his siblings, Karen Mellotte, Richard Sams (Pamela), David Sams, Lonnie Sams (Melody) and Daniel Sams (Trena).
