He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Berndt and Edna Berndt. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Paula (Mike) and Carla (Jim); his grandchildren, Ryan (Marilynn), Lauren (Cory), James, Jr., Sarah, Mary Kate and Rebekah; his great grandchildren, Iza Mae and Milo; and his brother Art. He is also survived by nephews and a lifetime of friends.
