She was predeceased by: her father Donald Locy. She is survived by: her mother Betty Hough (Larry); her husband Michael Smith; her children, Justin Smith (Sara), Nathan Smith (Mallory) and Lauren Beasley (Clinton); her grandchildren, Anna and Elliot Smith; her children, Beckett, Owen, Emmaline Smith and Gwendolyn Beasley; and her siblings, Donald Locy (Laurie), David Locy (Allison), Steven Locy (Jackie) and Lori Maraldo (Pete). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Denise's name to Ashtabula County Children's Services or the Mya Women's Center.
