He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roland Ragland and Minnie; his wife Karen Ragland; his children, Jason (Tina), Brian (Lori), Crissy Snyder (Matt), Lindsey McLean (Pat) and Noel Ragland (Chelsea); and his nephew Elliott Dow. He was also cherished by six grandchildren.
