He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Herald and Eula Mae Herald; his wife Helen; and his siblings, Brenda Combs, Jim, Teeter, Bookie and Ricky Herald.
He is survived by: his children, Ghathern Lee Herald of Trenton, Manuel Ray Herald (Melissa) of Jamestown, Jerry Chester Herald of Jamestown and Michelle Mae Klontz of Jamestown; his grandchildren, Tony Herald, Jessie Lanter, Ryan, Corey Herald and Kaylee Klontz; his great grandchildren, Chloe, Sophie, Sawyer, Connor, Corbin and Odin; and his brother Charlie Herald of Hazard, KY. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
