He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Applegate (Hubbell) and Elmer Lee Applegate; his mother-in-law Beverly Horney (Harrison); and the mother of his children Mary Jo Taylor Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Karen Applegate (Horney); his children, David Allen Applegate (Jamie) of Bowersville and Randi Lee Eavers (Steven) of Jamestown; his grandchild Macey McCoy (Jlynn Attaway); his children, Katlynn Eavers, Dallas Eavers (Emma), Layne Applegate (Taylor) and Kami Applegate; his siblings, Skip Applegate (Michele), Steve Applegate and Leana Hodges; his father-in-law Charles "Butch" Horney; and his siblings-in-law, LuAnn Mattox (Steve), Jeff Horney and Bruce Horney (Jenny). He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
