He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Samuel and Myrtle Ramsay Kriechbaum; his great grandchild Tyler Cordery; his sister Ethel Marie Taylor; and his nephew Keith Taylor.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Catherine Bennett Kriechbaum; his daughters, Karen Sue Saladin (John), Marlene Ramsay (Bill) and Mary Ann Gooch (Jim); and his grandchildren, Melissa English, Kari Miller, Johnny Cordery, David Cordery, Jason Magnani, Tara Knight and Adam Magnani.
