She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Austin and Ellen Austin; her husband Hearl Tanner; her siblings, Enos Austin, George Austin (Emma Jean), Bonfiles Austin (Pat), Elijah Jr., Shirley Smith (Phillip), Bessie Thorton, Aretta Valentine (Chauncey) and Alberta (Oliver); and her cousins, Charlotte Vaughn (Reginald) and Gertrude (Warren).
She is survived by: her children, Sally and Barry Tanner (Beverly) of Jackson; her siblings, John Austin (Carole), Homer Austin (Kay), Richard Austin and Connie; her grandchildren, Barry, Courtney Tanner and Michael Burnette; and her siblings-in-law, Charles "Eddie" Tanner, Opal Routt and Daisey Tanner.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home (135 Broadway St, Jackson, OH 45640). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
