He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Fries and Helen Fries (late Susan Fries); and his siblings, Joseph Fries, Margaret Hicks and Theresa Albaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Fries; his sons, Richard Fries (Lynn), Daniel Fries (Karla) and Anthony Fries (Anne); and his stepchildren, Jill Canata (Sam), Lisa Schultz, Stacy Turner (Brad), Jenny Schultz, Jason Schultz and Josh Schultz (Traci).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Paquelet and Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Homes (1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Philips & James Catholic Church (412 High St NE, Canal Fulton, OH 44614).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter.
