He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hynes and Muriel Hynes (Gilbride); his siblings, Billy and Muriel Walsh; and his grandson Carl Matthew Zilla.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hynes (Stevenson); his daughter Karen Zilla (Carl); and his grandsons, Michael Zilla, Brian Zilla (Caitlin) and Matthew Zilla.
